Run your own race

Happy Tuesday! What are you doing today? Was your Monday eventful or productive? Monday was an extremely productive day for me. One thing I kept saying yesterday was, "You have to run your own race" and "What’s meant for you will come to you."

For the past few days, I’ve been reflecting on how we often cling to relationships merely to protect someone else. Many of us are enablers by nature. A few weeks ago, I decided to stop being the safety net for those who have the cognitive ability to understand. Constantly saving others can mentally exhaust you and diminish your emotional resilience. 

Today, I encourage you to consider who you are enabling. Are you truly doing that individual a favor, or could it be a disservice? Running your own race involves recognizing the importance of focusing on your journey and growth. Being an enabler, on the other hand, often means diverting energy from your path to manage someone else's challenges. It's crucial to strike a balance between support and self-care, ensuring that in the process of helping others, you're not losing sight of your own goals and well-being.
