You have to Stand on Business

Friday really just snuck up in here and said HEY!  Time got out there this week and did its thing. How are you feeling today on a scale from 1 to 10? Be honest. My score has improved drastically, and I’m fighting every second to keep it in the positive digits. Life is definitely Life’n, and it seems like everybody around us is quietly fighting their own battle, so please, try to be kind. Thursday felt like a blur for me. So much was going on that I can’t even pinpoint one solid moment. But here we are, breathing, reflecting, and pressing forward.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on why I shy away from attaching myself to new people. It’s not fear—it’s exhaustion from unspoken formalities and invisible expectations. I don’t have the energy for barriers, pushback, or halfhearted connections. I’m used to being 10 toes down for my people—good, bad, and in-between. If I can’t move in authenticity, if I have to dilute my presence or question my loyalty, I’d rather not associate at all. Life is too short for fake bonds and forced energy.

So this Friday, let’s talk about detachment—not out of bitterness, but out of clarity. You’re allowed to disconnect from relationships that drain you, confuse you, or make you feel small. You're allowed to protect your peace and your presence. Reading the room is a survival skill, and once you develop it, you begin noticing who’s for you—and who just wants access to you. Move in silence. Don’t announce your exit. Just quietly reclaim your energy.

Lastly, stand on business—even when it hurts. Sometimes choosing yourself feels lonely at first, but trust me, peace follows. You weren’t created to be everything to everyone at your own expense. Let your “yes” be rooted in alignment, and let your “no” be rooted in self-respect. You don’t need to explain, justify, or beg to be understood. This is your life. Live it in a way that feels right to you—and if that means walking away from what no longer fits, so be it. You deserve more than surviving—you deserve to feel seen, heard, and whole.

Have a Safe & Happy 4th of July!!
