Happy Tuesday!!!!!
How are you? How did your Mental Health Monday unfold? I hope you were able to maneuver through your day without any added stress. We really have to be careful about what we allow ourselves to entertain or constantly think about, because that energy sets the tone for everything else. My Monday was long and stressful, and I only managed to make lemonade out of lemons about 75% of the day. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t alright yesterday. The highlight of my day was probably the laughs I shared during a Mental Health Monday conversation. Those little moments reminded me that even in chaos, I can still find pieces of joy.
Monday almost got the best of me. I almost gave in, went back into the basement, and locked the door behind me. When you’re the fixer, it’s so hard to admit out loud that you need fixing too. I was so frustrated I almost called the WARDEN to come and rescue me. And if you know, you know… he doesn’t play, everything gets shut down and you’d speak to me in 2027.But as I piddle around today, I’m reminding myself of the importance of decluttering—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Because when life feels heavy, the best thing I can do is clear space for peace to flow back in.
Showing up for yourself doesn’t always look pretty or polished. Sometimes it’s just making the choice to keep going, even when yesterday wore you out. It’s speaking up for yourself when silence feels easier, and reminding yourself that your needs are valid, even when you’re used to prioritizing everyone else’s. I’ve learned that when I put myself first, I create a space where I can be honest about how I feel without guilt. That honesty isn’t weakness—it’s strength. It’s choosing not to shrink back, but instead to stand firm in who I am and what I deserve.
And let me tell you this—never allow anyone to treat you like you’re an afterthought. You are not optional, you are essential. When you treat yourself like you matter, you set the tone for how others show up for you. That’s why I’m affirming today that I deserve peace, effort, and respect. I deserve love that doesn’t make me question my worth. I deserve to enjoy every single day without waiting on the weekend or a vacation to feel alive. And so do you. ✨
