Happy Thursday Humans!
We made it to the back half of the week, and I have to ask—how did Wednesday benefit you? Did you gain clarity, peace, or maybe just the satisfaction of making it through without flipping out on someone? For me, I treat each Wednesday as a reset button, a reminder that the weekend isn’t the only thing worth looking forward to. Every day has a benefit if you sit still long enough to recognize it. Wednesday’s lesson for me was that silence is sometimes louder than conversation. That in itself gave me permission to keep my peace, even when others couldn’t keep theirs.
Now let’s talk about boredom. Some people binge-watch shows or scroll their lives away, but when I’m bored, I create. I’ll start a new business, sketch out a project, or brainstorm something wild that has the potential to become real. Boredom has never been my enemy—it’s an incubator for my ideas. That’s why I rarely stay stuck. I don’t need anyone to entertain me, and I don’t place my expectations in the hands of others. Honestly, that’s why I stopped expecting anything from people a long time ago. Expectations are just pre-set disappointments, and I prefer to invest in me.
And for the love of all things—stop trying to hook me up. I mean this with every fiber of my soul: I’m not impressed. I’ve come to the conclusion that most men are inadequate. The most high will have to show me a visual before I entertain.People spend more time trying to make matches than they do matching themselves with purpose. Truth be told, most humans don’t even know who they are, yet they want to claim partnership. That’s like showing up to a potluck empty-handed and demanding the biggest plate. Please, spare me.
Here’s my truth: it’s hard to even hold conversations these days. Human incompetence and lack of experience scream louder than words, and honestly, it makes me withdraw. I’ve also realized that classism shouts louder than racism—status and access dictate more than skin color ever could. Maybe that makes me a snob, but at least I’m an aware one. The lesson here is simple: protect your peace, guard your energy, and don’t let the noise of human inadequacy drown out your own greatness. Thursday is the perfect day to affirm that your standards are valid and your boundaries are necessary.
