Welcome to Your New Week!!
Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend? Did you get to reset your mind, body, and soul? What did you incorporate for self-care this weekend? Please elaborate, because last week y’all made me feel like I was doing the bare minimum for myself. This weekend I pretty much did whatever I thought of 😝. I reset my mental capacity and withdrew from associations that didn’t feed my future. My mental score is a strong 3 and I’m waltzing into this week with lots of good energy and high expectations. Sometimes hitting the reset button looks different for everyone, but what matters most is that it allows you to walk into Monday lighter, freer, and aligned.
Walking into Monday also reminds us that you don’t need years to outgrow something that doesn’t serve you. Growth can happen the moment you decide you deserve better. One thing I pride myself with is the ability to detached and move on. When I start to think I’m the only one adding and the other party or situation isn’t matching my energy I become a GHOST.
I always chose to release the weight that was keeping me from seeing clearly and moving freely, and I encourage you to do the same. Think of it as uncluttering your mental closet—you make space for new opportunities, new energy, and new possibilities. You’ll be surprised how quickly life starts to feel different when you decide to let go of the unnecessary.
And as you do this, let people be whatever version of great that suits them. Their idea of success, healing, or happiness may not look like yours, and that’s perfectly okay. When you free yourself from trying to control or correct others, you gain back precious time and peace. Everyone is writing their own chapter at their own pace. Instead of playing checkers and moving at someone else’s convenience, choose to move with purpose, patience, and precision—like the queen’s pawn in chess. It may look like a small step at first, but that one intentional move has the power to open up your whole board and change the entire game.
So this week, commit to making chess moves that serve you. Strategize, protect your energy, and move with intention, not reaction. Your journey isn’t about chasing quick wins or meeting other people’s timelines—it’s about setting up long-term victories. Just like in chess, it’s not about how fast you move, but how wisely you position yourself. Every reset, every boundary, every self-care moment you give yourself is a move toward checkmate—toward your ultimate win. Walk into this Monday with confidence, knowing the board is yours to control.
