Happy Monday!!!
Since this is MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY, I’d like to know—how are you feeling? What’s your score between 1-10? Is there anything bothering you? If so, let’s talk about it. Now tell me, what did you do on Sunday? Wait… did you watch any pre-season football? I made sure I caught every game like it was the playoffs. (I missed football!) I usually watch TV on mute, but I turned the volume on yesterday. 😂
(Deep breath) I don’t have a number for my mental health—just know that I’m breathing. I don’t trust a human enough to have them solve anything for me, so just know I’ll be okay eventually. Yesterday I made a promise to myself not to overexert myself in other people’s situations and life woes. I’m definitely matching energy these next few months. No, I don’t have anything against anyone, but I refuse to be anything to a human that they aren’t to me. I even deleted contacts from my phone that serve me no purpose. If we ain’t never had tacos together, I guarantee we aren’t friends—so the personal conversation isn’t needed. I’m definitely on my best shyt.
Sometimes the greatest act of self-love is eliminating people who no longer serve you. It’s not about anger, revenge, or proving a point—it’s about protecting your peace and preserving the energy you need for the life you’re building. When you remove the voices that drain you, you make space for the ones that inspire, uplift, and pour into you. You don’t need permission to walk away from what no longer aligns. Your worth isn’t determined by how many people you keep around; it’s measured by how well you honor yourself in the process.
Once you’ve cleared that space, it’s time to adjust your own crown and set the standard for how you want to live. The world will only value you at the price you set, so don’t discount yourself. Live by your own vision—not by someone else’s blueprint—and be unapologetic about it. Standards aren’t about perfection; they’re about alignment. When you know who you are and what you stand for, you stop chasing validation and start attracting everything meant for you. Keep your crown straight, your head high, and your life rooted in your own definition of success.
