How are you doing? How has the last full week of September been treating you? Yes, you read that right—this is the last full week of September. What did your Wednesday look like? Have you noticed the change in the weather? This fall breeze puts me in an unexplainable mood. All I keep saying is, “This is my SEASON” for everything I’ve been desiring.
“My emotional support human is fine lol !’ll read him the messages later in the week” Lol I’m amazed how you all turned our association into a segment lol Remember just because it’s GOOD doesn’t mean it’s GOOD TOGETHER.. (Wink)
My week has been quiet. Not just because I’m by myself 94% of the time, but because I’ve intentionally quieted the noise in my life. I’ve realized that when I surround myself with people carrying anxious energy, I’m easily depleted and my mental health takes a hit. Do I think this will work for the long run? Yep!! lol. Honestly, I pretty much only talk to the same four humans weekly. When you know better, you do better.
Speaking of knowing better—what do you do when someone tries to make their problem your emergency? I used to rush in and save people from their life woes until I realized I was doing them a disservice. Not only because NOBODY ever saves me, but because everything is a teaching moment. I recently told someone (who’s not even an acquaintance, let alone a friend) “NO,” and they acted like I was the villain. Am I the drama? Am I the cause of their problem? Hell NO‼️
As time passes, I’ve grown less interested in coddling adults. Not only does it cloud my mental space, but it empties my cup. The other day I made a decision to stop over-pouring, remove the extra chairs from my table, and operate fully in my own nostalgic space.
So today, I challenge you to do a thorough review of who you’re pouring into. Who are you sharing your conversations and energy with? If those people couldn’t carry you through if your light dimmed, then it’s time to shut the faucet off. Protect your peace, protect your energy. Enjoy your Thursday‼️😘
