Tuesday, is that you??
Happy Tuesday everyone. How are you feeling today? How did Monday treat you? Was your mental health up to par? We are officially stepping into the season of Fall, and I can’t help but smile at everything this season brings. There’s something about crisp mornings, cozy nights, and the shift in energy that makes me feel more grounded.
Did you do anything exciting yesterday? Football is back, which means the conversations are flowing, scores are being tracked, and everyone has an opinion on their team. My Monday was decent, and my mental health is sitting at a solid 5.
One thing I’ve been practicing is learning to let go of anybody and anything that doesn’t align with the vision I have for myself. Why would I waste time debating with someone about my personal opinion? If a person has never walked to the other side of the street, they can’t give you instructions or an outline of what to expect. Eliminate the habits and associations that don’t contribute to your next level. It’s easier said than done, but when you begin releasing what no longer serves you, you create space for peace and clarity. I’ve come to realize that alignment feels much better than attachment, and choosing myself has become a daily form of self-care.
We often hold on to people and things based purely on longevity. Just because someone has been in your life for a long time doesn’t mean they’re meant to stay. Sometimes a complete stranger can impact your life in ways a person you’ve known for ten years could never touch. Longevity doesn’t always equal loyalty, and history doesn’t guarantee a future. That’s a tough pill to swallow, but it’s necessary for growth.
My main focus is acting out my life in real time, not letting someone else’s projections dictate how I move. Everyone will have opinions on what they think you should do, but at the end of the day, you’re the only one who has to live with your choices. Create your own fairytale and make sure you include ongoing happy endings. It's important to protect your peace by living authentically and refusing to perform for others.
So here’s to Tuesday: a reminder to move forward with intention. Allow this season of change to inspire you to release the weight of what no longer belongs and embrace the beauty of what lies ahead. Your path is yours alone, and the sooner you walk it unapologetically, the freer you’ll feel. If you keep making moves for others, you’ll eventually run out of moves when it’s time to move for yourself.
